Starting Wednesday, September 8th, the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, through Thursday, September 16th, we will be offering a novena of Masses for the special intentions of all our parishioners.  All are invited to join us at 8:00am for these Masses.

We welcome Fr. Guy Fiano, O.Carm., as our new Parochial Vicar at St. Jude starting August 1, 2010.  For the past two years, Fr. Guy has been Parochial Vicar at St. Joan of
Arc Church with residence at our St. Jude Priory.  Prior to that, Fr. Guy was at Mt.CarmelHigh School in Chicago, Illinois for one year.  The previous 25 years he was at PopeJohnPaulIIHigh School in Boca Raton where he was President.  In the initial days at Pope John Paul II, Fr. Guy was a guidance counselor and the Director of Guidance. We are very happy to welcome Fr. Guy to St. Jude and wish him many more fruitful years of ministry.

 

Fr. Emiel Abalahin, O.Carm., will be leaving us in September to pursue graduate studies in Theology in Rome with residence at the Carmelite International Priory, San Alberto, which is five minutes from St. Peter’s Basilica. 


 

We plan to have a farewell party for Fr. Emiel on Saturday, August 21st, after the 5:00pm Mass. 
 

All are invited.
