The Religious Education Program at St. Jude Parish prepares our children and teens to both learn about the Catholic faith and to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. All students are instructed in the Gospel values of Jesus Christ with emphasis on understanding what it truly means to live and worship as a Roman Catholic. It is the goal of the Religious Education process to awaken the faith of each student by facilitating a genuine discovery and understanding of the active presence of God in the life of the Church and the World.
Classes, for pre-kindergarten through ninth grade, run from mid-September through early May. Classes are offered on Wednesdays and Sundays by a loving group of certified and dedicated volunteers.
Sacramental preparation is done in accordance with the norms of the Diocese of Palm Beach; which requires two years of catechism preparation in order to receive a sacrament. Children requiring the sacraments of First Communion generally prepare during first and second grades. Young people requiring the sacrament of Confirmation generally prepare during eighth and ninth grades. For older children wishing to receive these sacraments, there is a Special Sacraments class available.

Class Schedule
Sunday morning*: Kindergarten, Grades 1-7, Special Sacraments, Confirmation Year 1 (Grades 8 -11), Confirmation Year 2 (Grades 9 -12)
* Classes meet from 10:30am to 11:45am.
Wednesday afternoon**: Kindergarten, Grades 1-5, Special Sacraments, Confirmation Year 1 (Grade 8), Confirmation Year 2 (Grades 9-12).
** Classes will meet from 4:30pm to 5:45pm.

Announcing our Young Adult Confirmation Classes
Are you age 18-25 and for some reason or another have never gotten confirmed? Are you contemplating marriage or being the Godparent at a Baptism in the future? Are you looking for a way to ENRICH your faith experience? Would you like to get things right and complete this part of your sacramental life? Are you ready now to take that step?
